Bento keeps only what it needs to plan your meals.
What we store
- Your email and a hashed password, held by our sign-in provider (Supabase).
- Your profile: goal, diet, allergies, dislikes, notes, meal times and halls, and, if you add them, height, weight, age, sex, and activity level.
- Your meal plans, foods you marked as out, and feedback you send.
- Your ๐ / ๐ meal ratings and the reason you pick, saved with the plate you rated. They shape your future plans (for example, skipping a food you didn't like) and, without your name or email, help us improve Bento.
- When you last opened the app, so we only plan for people who are using it, and which days you used it (kept for 90 days), so we can tell whether Bento is useful.
- If you join the waitlist: your email and your answers (halls, goal, diet, whether you have allergies), used only to send your invite. Ask through feedback or reply to your invite email to be removed.
How it is used
Your profile, recent meal ratings, and the day's menu are sent to an AI model (Azure OpenAI) to build your plates. Your email is never sent to the model. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share it with anyone else.
Where it lives
Profiles and plans are stored in Microsoft Azure in the United States; sign-in data is stored by Supabase. If you set up meal notifications, plates are sent to the ntfy topic you choose; anyone who knows that topic name can read them, so pick one that is hard to guess.
Deleting your data
Settings โ Delete my account removes your profile, every saved plan, and your sign-in right away. Feedback you sent is kept so it can be read, without your profile attached.
